Nexus Siege is finally on the PBE after being announced as the newest game mode of the Rotating Game Mode queue.
It’s been nearly a week since we first got word of Nexus Siege, another new game mode specifically created for the Rotating Game Mode.
That’s what this queue was always supposed to be about. Of course, classic game modes like URF and One For All would have their spot in the Rotating Game Mode, but the idea of it was to bring new and exciting things to the League of Legends world.
Riot did that for the very first time with Definitely Not Dominion, but even that wasn’t a completely new game mode. It was more of a remastered version of an old classic.
Nexus Siege, however, is something completely new to League of Legends — truly something the game has never had before.
While Nexus Siege was announced a week ago, it finally went up on the PBE yesterday for testing. Usually, the Rotating Game Mode games have gone up on the PBE for only a few days of testing, but this time will probably be different as there will be a lot of things to test out.The new mode is a round-based attack and defense game where players will fight to destroy each others base. The general game mechanics will all be very fresh to everyone.
If you have a PBE account, you should definitely head over there and see what you think of Nexus Siege.
The current Rotating Game Mode rotation is Ascension this weekend, followed by Hexakill and Definitely Not Dominion. It seems likely that Nexus Siege will soon follow those three game modes.
And remember, the Rotating Game Mode queue has been extended to run for an extra day.
