Boruto Manga is slated for release this coming May 2016. But it appears that Mikio Ikemoto, together with his team, is still mum about the character details and plot of the manga spinoff of Naruto.
iDigital Times reports that as of press time, the Boruto manga is still mysterious, with no revelation of the important facts that fans would like to know about the spinoff manga. What is disclosed to the avid followers of Naruto manga and anime series is only the story line.
According to the report, “it will focus on Naruto and Hinata’s son and the rest of the next generation of ninja including Sarada (the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura) and Mitsuki.” Other than this information, there’s nothing much that fans could glean from the web.
Perhaps this is probably because Shonen Jump would like to concentrate on publicizing the upcoming release of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto one-shot manga. This will be the final manga that Masashi will be writing for the franchise. His future affiliation to it will only be limited to being the supervisor of the Boruto manga.
Speaking of the Naruto one-shot, it will be released on April 25 in the Shonen Jump magazine. Saiyan Island reveals that the plot of this one-shot manga will “center on Boruto Uzumaki’s teammate, Mitsuki, who is also the son of Orochimaru. The story will be part of Naruto (rather than the up-coming Boruto manga) and will be titled Naruto Gaiden: The Path That the Waxing Moon Illuminates.”
Take note that Mitsuki as a character of the Naruto manga has not been fully explored or exposed, and he is one of the characters in the Boruto manga. Thus, followers can only speculate that revealing more about the manga spinoff of Mikio Ikemoto might spoil Masashi’s Naruto one-shot.
It is also speculated there are some answers that fans would be able to scrape together in reading the Naruto one-shot, and perhaps there’s continuity of this information in the upcoming Boruto manga.
