(Madhouse/TV Tokyo)Saitama in the first season of "One Punch Man." For the second season, it is said that he might face Garou, a former student of Silver Fang, though there are reports that he might also face Kamen Amai Mask. Season two of "One Punch Man" has yet to have a fixed release date. |
Fans of "One Punch Man" are eagerly awaiting for season two of the anime series. Many anime fans have been taken in by the manga and anime series, being much a parody of the superhero genre both in anime and Western cartoons.
While the wait continues, fans speculate as to what might be in store for season two of "One Punch Man." Many fans would naturally want the anime to be as faithful as possible to the manga, although there have also been a number of anime adaptations of manga titles that have wandered off from the source material but still have become successful.
The International Business Times reports that Murata Yusuke has already started work on the "One Punch Man" season two anime. He has stated that he will work hard to deliver the second season for fans, though there is still no exact date as to when the second season would be.
For the second season, a strong opponent is said to be coming out, perhaps Saitama's strongest opponent yet as far as the anime is concerned. If the second season would closely follow the manga, it will then come to the Hero Hunter arc, which would mean that Saitama will likely meet Garou.
As HNGN reports it, Garou was the former student of Silver Fang, who then lost his way. Garou is said to have one goal, and that is to hunt and challenge the top-ranking heroes. In that sense then he and Saitama are actually almost the same. There is another rumor though that Saitama might battle Kamen Amai Mask, though it might be likely he will meet both characters in season two.
When season two of "One Punch Man" will come out is another speculation by fans. Though there is much talk about the second season coming out in November, work on an anime series takes much time and effort, even with a team. Otaku Art has said that it takes approximately 100 sketches, 100 pages inked, 100 storyboards, and 10 hours editing on a daily basis to get one season of anime out.
That doesn't include revisions, which can take more time. Otaku Art sees that it might be more feasible to have "One Punch Man" season two out within two years. That might seem long, but it could be out much earlier than that.
