Loot Corner: April Loot Crate, Loot Anime Review

Upon popping open the box, I was greeted with the “Labyrinth” T-shirt. Sitting that to the side, I found the highlight of the box for me, a D20 ice mold. The ice dice is great to use in a drink after a long day.
For Vikings fans, there’s a plastic drinking horn complete with a strap, perfect for a quick drink of mead. Hidden below that was a pair of Harry Potter socks featuring the Horcruxes.
After hearing that there would be an exclusive Uncharted 4 item in this box, I was excited to see if it would be a replica piece of Drake’s gold or another item from him. However, it actually was a mini-poster of Drake. A bit disappointing, considering all of the mini-trinkets Drake seems to have.
Rounding out the box was the Quest pin and Quest magazine. The final interesting thing to note is the inner box, which actually is a giant maze.
Overall, the crate wasn’t bad. Definitely not one of the top crates that have been put out there, but the ice mold and drinking horn were some unique items, and the “Labyrinth” shirt was a nice touch featuring David Bowie.

Loot Anime: Duel

Loot Anime this month went a bit heavy on the clothes, but a few items definitely made the box for me.
Above you can see the shirt, socks and hat the box featured. The socks are the Millennium Puzzle from Yu-Gi-Oh!, while the shirt features Ultraman Gaia. The hat took me a bit to figure out what it related to, at least until I saw the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure tag under the hat.
After moving the shirt and socks to the side, I found a small Phoenix Wright box that featured a mini-briefcase used for business cards. It’s a great little card holder, complete with little locks at the top. I’ve already thrown some cards in mine.
Rounding out the bigger items in the crate was the Superfight Anime Deck 2, an expansion to the game featuring 100 new cards. Thankfully, the game can be played by itself for quick matches, a great way to see if you’re interested in the full game.
The crate also had a two-sided poster of artwork by Stephanie Kao and a list of products on the back, and a Duel phone charm to take up your headset spot.
Overall, while the crate may have been a bit clothing-heavy, the case and card deck made the whole thing worth it.
Check out more information on Loot Anime here.  The crate cost is $24.95 per month, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
