fhána Performs Tales of Zestiria the X TV Anime's Ending Theme

July premiere confirmed for ufotable series

The official website for the Tales of Zestiria the X (pronounced "cross") television anime series revealed on Monday that fhána will perform the show's ending theme song.
fhána previously performed theme songs for GingitsuneComet Lucifer,Witch Craft WorksHaruchika – Haruta & ChikaThe Eccentric Family, and Celestial Method, among others.
The website additionally confirmed the show's July premiere. The anime was previously announced as premiering this summer.
The returning cast is as follows:
Ryohei Kimura as Sorey
Ryota Ohsaka as Mikleo
Ai Kayano as Alisha
Mikako Komatsu as Rose
Misato Fukuen as Edna
Daisuke Ono as Dezel
Kenjiro Tsuda as Zaveid
Additionally, Noriko Shitaya is replacing Miyu Matsuki as Lailah. Matsuki passed away in November.
The show's English website describes the anime as follows:
Sorey is a human youth who grew up among the “seraphim” (tenzoku), spiritual beings not visible to humans.
Sorey believes in the folklore that says “long ago, every human was able to see the seraphim” and dreams of unraveling the ancient mystery to make the world a place where people and seraphim can live together in peace.
One day, Sorey visits the human capital for the very first time. He becomes embroiled in an incident during which he pulls out a holy sword imbedded in a rock and ends up becoming a “Shepherd,” one who casts away calamity from the world. He begins to realize the gravity of his mission, and his dream of coexistence between mankind and the seraphim becomes more intense—
And thus, the Shepherd embarks on an amazing journey with his companions.
The website also states that the anime will be available worldwide this summer.
Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria: Dōshi no YoakeTales of Symphonia the Animation) is directing the series atufotable, and ufotable is also writing the script. Akira Matsushima (Tales of Symphonia the AnimationTales of Zestiria: Dōshi no Yoake) is adapting the character designs from Mutsumi InomataKousuke FujishimaDaigo Okumura, and Minoru Iwamoto for animation, and Motoi Sakuraba and Gō Shiina are composing the music. FLOW will perform the opening theme.
