New 'Takuan to Batsu no Nichijō Enmachō' Manga Launches in Shonen Jump on May 16

Author Kentarō Itani first published manga as 1-shot last October

This year's 23rd volume of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that Kentarō Itani is launching a new series titledTakuan to Batsu no Nichijō Enmachō (Takuan and Batsu's Everyday Grade Book) in the magazine's next issue on May 16. The manga will be featured on the issue's front cover, and the first chapter will have a color opening page, and will be 54 pages long.
The magazine previews the manga's story premise, which starts with carefree high school student named Tsukumo, who meets Batsu, daughter of Enma, the king of the underworld. His everyday life is upended in a bizarre comedy.
Itani first published the manga as a one-shot in the magazine last October, and again in March in the Shonen Jump Next!! magazine.
This will be Itani's debut serialized series. Before publishing the original one-shot, he also published another one-shot titled "Migimaki Jigoku Tantei Jimusho" (Clockwise Hell Detective Agency) on Shueisha's Jump Live app in 2013.
