Several recent reports have stated that the production of Season 2 of the popular anime series "One Punch Man" is actively moving forward. The creator of original manga series, Yusuke Murata, has already started the production work in collaboration with Madhouse Entertainment.
Murata promised last December that Season 2 will be as good as the first season as his team has been working exhaustively on it. To fulfil the requirements as stated by the studio, Murata's team came up with 100 sketches, 100 inked pages, and 100 storyboards for Season 2.
Murata is also looking forward to release new canon chapters of the manga version. The last canon chapter that Murata published of "One Punch Man" was chapter 59.3 titled Dark Horse Part III.
"One Punch Man" manga abruptly ended after chapter 106.3 with the introduction of the Civil War arc in the series. According toYibada, Murata might be slow on the manga due to his engagements with anime adoption of his yet another web-comic Mob Psycho100.
Amid a hectic schedule, Murata released 21st issue of One Punch Man Young Jump last week. The 35-page chapter emphasises on Saitama's ambition of working with a group of heroes who might turn into a team play like the Sentai Series (known as Power Rangers outside Japan).
The exclusive chapter has introduced several new Heroes Association characters like Pink Hornet (B-Class, rank 25), Smell Master (B-Class, rank 39), Trap Tengu (B-Class, rank 70), and Wild Horn (B-Class, rank 6). One of the noticeable elements in the new chapter is Wild Horn's weapon, that closely resembles the "Thunderspear" from another popular anime series "Attack on Titan."
