Kids' horror manga previously inspired live-action film
A short anime special based on Emi Ishikawa's Zekkyō Gakkyū: Tensei manga aired on Oha-Suta (Good Morning Star) variety program on the TV Tokyo network on Tuesday. The official YouTube channel for Shueisha'sRibon magazine also streamed the one-and-a-half-minute episode.
In the video, a girl's classmate disappears during a game of hide-and-seek. When she goes out to look for him, she hides when she hears someone pursuing her. After a while, she peeks out to see if her pursuer has given up.
The manga received a "vomic" (voice + comic) video in 2010, a three-episode promotional anime in 2012, and a live-action film adaptation in 2013.
The Zekkyō Gakkyū anime episodes (embedded below) are also each a minute and a half long.
