Campaign to take applications from April 28-May 26; successful applicants to be awarded 300,000 yen
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairsannounced on Friday that it is accepting applications for original anime productions to promote overseas business development.
The campaign will offer selected winners the opportunity to conduct pitches, proposals, and business discussions with overseas producers. Additionally, Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs will provide advice and lessons on how to conduct such proposals and on how to make a required PR video.
Applications are open to all registered small and medium businesses in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, as well as registered sole proprietorships in the same region. The submitted plan must be for an original work, but does not require actual footage upon submission. Chosen applicants will be awarded 300,000 yen (about US$2,695), and will be required to produce a one-minute pilot PR video after being chosen.
The campaign will take applications from April 28 until May 26. All applicants are required to attend at least one of six project briefings. The briefings will occur on April 28, May 9, and May 11, with two briefings to be held each day.
