The official movie poster for the live-action film version of Your Lie in April, a drama based on the manga of the same name by Naoshi Arakawa, has been released, and it recreates imagery from the 1st volume of the manga.
The poster depicts actors Kento Yamazaki and Suzu Hirose in character as Kosei Arima and Kaori Miyazono, respectively. The film, which is directed by Takehiko Shinjo, debuts in Japanese movie theaters on September 10, 2016.
Your Lie in April was originally serialized from 2011 - 2015 in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine. The series was adapted into a 2014 TV anime, which is available on Crunchyroll. Kodansha also releases an English language version of the Your Lie in April manga, and describes the story as follows:
"Kosei Arima was a piano prodigy until his cruel taskmaster of a mother died suddenly, changing his life forever. Driven by his pain to abandon piano, Kosei now lives in a monotonous, colorless world. Having resigned himself to a bland life, he is surprised when he meets Kaori Miyazono, a violinist with an unorthodox style. Can she bring Kosei back to music, and back to life?"
