The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda's soccer-themed shonen manga DAYSconfirmed yesterday that it is set to premiere on MBS, Tokyo MX, BS11, Animax, and other stations in Japan this summer. The anime adaptation project was announced back in January.
The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine since April 2013, and its latest 16th volume was just released in Japan last Saturday, ranking 24th in the Oricon weekly comic sales charts selling 31,765 copies in its first week.
The TV anime adaptation is produced by MAPPA (Terror in Resonance, Ushio and Tora) with Konosuke Uda (One Piece, Love Com, Majin Bone) directing. Kazuto Nakazawa (El-Hazard, Terror in Resonance) designs the anime version characters. The TV anime's official website has posted a 30-second PV, but it is currently region-locked for legal reasons.
