The long awaited 11th chapter of the "Dragon Ball Super" manga has finally been released, and although we already knew what was going to happen, it was still pretty darn entertaining.
"DBS" chapter 11 began where chapter 10 left off, with Vegeta stepping into the ring to face-off against Frost. At the end of the last chapter, it was revealed that Frost used poison to defeat Goku in their battle. Although Beerus wanted Frost to be disqualified, Vegeta protested and stepped into the ring to face-off against the cunning warrior.
From the outset, it was clear that the manga version of "Vegeta vs. Frost" was a bit different from its anime counterpart. In the anime, Vegeta knocks Frost out with one punch. In the manga, Frost actually managed counter a few of the saiyan prince's attacks. Still, Vegeta won the battle quite effortlessly.
Next up was Magetta, a metal man from universe six. While this battle was still pretty entertaining, it lacked the creativity that made its animated counterpart compelling. In the anime version of the bout, Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan almost immediately, but is caught off guard by Magetta's ability to heat the atmosphere's temperature to extremely high levels.
Nowhere in "DBS" chapter 11 is Magetta's temperature-raising fire breath mentioned, let alone made a key point of the battle. In the manga version of the battle, Vegeta began his fight with Magetta in his base form and he wasn't able to deal out too much damage to his opponents metal body. Shortly after his initial assault, Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan, but still struggled.
"DBS" chapter 11 did, however, see Vegeta secure his victory in the same way the anime version did: By throwing a hail of vicious insults and throwing Magetta out of the ring.
The english translation for "DBS" chapter 11 hasn't been released yet, but you can watch an interesting recap/analysis from Geekdom 101 here:
