Switch Witch, Ao no Haha Manga By Pupa's Sayaka Mogi to Both End

Author's Pupa manga inspired TV anime short series in 2014

The fifth compiled book volume of Sayaka Mogi's Switch Witch manga revealed last Wednesday that the manga's sixth volume will be the last. In addition, the June issue of Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine revealed on Monday that Mogi will end her Ao no Haha manga in the magazine's next issue, which Futabasha will publish on May 25.
The Switch Witch manga centers on a girl named Wakaba Himekawa, who is aware that she is growing up slower than other people, but otherwise lives a peaceful life. On the same day that she finally gets her first period, her childhood friend Takaya confesses that he loves her. While Wakaba had never felt that way for her friend before, she is still happy, if confused. As she is about to answer Takaya's confession, an alarm suddenly sounds, and a broadcast begins that will change her everyday life.
Mogi launched Switch Witch in Akita Shoten's Young Championmagazine in February 2014.
The Ao no Haha manga revolves around a young woman who during a ceremony sees a doll that looks exactly like herself. Captured by the heartless actions of the village, she is thrown once again into a world of nightmares. Why were the dolls created? In addition, who and what is the “Blue Mother?” The manga has the tagline, "In the village where humans and dolls mix, she lives in a nightmare, cursed with a sad fate."
Mogi launched the manga in Monthly Action in March 2014. Futabashapublished the manga's third compiled book volume last September.
Mogi launched her horror manga Pupa in the inaugural issue of Comic Earth Star magazine in 2011, and ended it in December 2013. Earth Star Entertainment published five volumes for the manga. The manga inspired a 12-episode series of television anime shorts that premiered in January 2014.
Mogi launched a new manga titled Nemureru Mori no Karon (Sleeping Charon) in Kodansha's Young Magazine in September 2014, and it is currently ongoing. Kodansha published the manga's first volume last November.
