Kagerou Daze Novel Series' 7th Volume Revealed, Slated for August

Yen Press publishes novels, manga of JIN's Kagerou Project

The official website of songwriter and manga creator JIN's Kagerou Project mixed-media project revealed last Friday that he will release a new Kagerou Daze novel on August 29 as the newest installment in the project. The novel will be the seventh volume in the Kagerou Dazeseries.

JIN's Kagerou Project began as a Vocaloid song series that JIN wrote and composed in 2011. JIN launched the Kagerou Daze light novel series in May 2012, with illustrations by Sidu. Kadokawa published the novel series' sixth volume in March 2015. Mahiro Satou launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Genemagazine in June of the same year, and Kadokawa published the manga's eighth compiled book volume on March 26. The series inspired a 12-episode television anime adaptation titled Mekaku City Actors in 2014.
Yen Press publishes both the light novel series and manga in North America. The company published the novel series' third volume on January 26, and will publish manga's fifth volume on Tuesday. Crunchyroll streamed the Mekaku City Actorsanime as it aired in Japan.
