'Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid' Anime Heading to Japanese TV

Original comedy manga by Coolkyoushinja is serialized in Futabasha's "Monthly Action" magazine

The "obi" wraparound on the cover of the 4th volume of Kobayashi-san Chi no Meidoragon ("Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid"), a comedy manga by Coolkyoushinja, indicates that the humorous comic about a beleaguered office lady and her personal attendant (who happens to be a dragon in human form) is going to be adapted into a TV anime.

Although the 4th volume of the manga doesn't go on sale in Japan until May 12, 2016, images of the cover (complete with "obi" announcement) have already surfaced online. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is serialized in Futabasha's Monthly Action seinen manga anthology magazine.

Seven Seas Entertainment will begin publishing an English language version of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid in October of 2016. They describe the series as follows:

"Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!"
