Avid fans of the manga and anime “Ajin” will be happy with the latest news. Episodes of the “Ajin” TV anime has recently started streaming on Netflix.
Netflix debuted its streaming service outside Japan for the anime “Ajin” on Tuesday, April 12, Anime News Networkreported. Fans around the world may now watch the said show in several audio language formats. Apart from Japanese, the show has been dubbed in English, German, French and Spanish. For fans who enjoy watching its original Japanese version, subtitles have also been added in the same languages with the inclusion of Italian.
The “Ajin” anime first aired in Japan in January this year. It is based on the manga “Ajin: Demi-Human” by Gamon Sakurai. The story follows the journey of an immortal who first appeared in an African battlefield 17 years ago, as stated in the same report.
Over time, new and rare immortal lifeforms called Ajins or demi-humans started appearing. The story then continues to the present time, where high school student Kei Nagai was killed in a traffic accident but was revived. His death led to Nagai’s discovery that he is an Ajin. A bounty is then placed on his head that marks the start of constant need to escape bounty hunters on his trail.
Apart from a TV anime, the manga has also seen a movie adaptation. The first film titled “Ajin: Shodo” was first screened during the Tokyo International Film Festival held in October 2015. It was then released in Japan movie theaters on Nov. 30, 2015. The second movie installment titled “Ajin: Shototsu” is expected to premiere in Japan from May 6 until May 26. Meanwhile, the third film titled “Ajin: Shogeki” has been set for release in Japan on Sept. 23.
