Shuriken Sentai Ninninger is the 39th entry of Toei's long-running Super Sentai tokusatsu TV series aired in Japan for 49 episodes from February 22, 2015 to February 7, 2016. It is scheduled to release its first V-Cinema (original direct-to-DVD film) titled "Kaettekita Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Ninnin Girls vs Boys Final Wars" in Japan on June 22.
It is confirmed that the two female members of the team, Fuuka Igasaki/Shiro Ninger (Yuuka Yano) and Kasumi Momochi/Momo Ninger (Kasumi Yamaya) appear as an idol ninja unit "Ninnin Girls" in the V-Cinema, and newly-produced anime footage featuring their anime version characters is also included. The anime part is created by two famous animators who previously worked on Toei Animation's PreCure series: Kozue Komatsu (2012 film Smile PreCure! The Movie: Big Mismatch in a Picture Book!character designer/animation director) serves as animation director and Hisashi Kagawa (2009-2010 TV series Fresh PreCure! character designer/animation director) draws key anime drawings.
