Sousuke Ikematsu, Masaki Suda star in film opening on July 2
The official website of the live-action film adaptation of Kazuya Konomoto's Setoutsumi manga began streaminga third skit video from the film on Thursday. The video, titled "Standing Ovation," features Utsumi (Sousuke Ikematsu) and Seto (Masaki Suda).
In the short, Utsumi asks Seto to do a standing ovation. Seto replies with, "Why the hell do I have to do a standing ovation?" Utsumi says because it makes him feel good, to which Seto asks him to do something worth a standing ovation first, and he also says that the standing ovation does not exist in Japanese culture. The two then go on to comment about how lonely a standing ovation would be with just one person, and how it's something that has to be done after going with the flow. After fighting for a while longer, Seto finally agrees to do a standing ovation, and Utsumi prepares to receive his applause.
Tatsushi Ōmori (Germanium no Yoru, The Ravine of Goodbye) is directing the film. The film's additional cast includes:
- Shōhei Uno
- Takuji Suzuki
- Amane Okayama
- Eiki Narita
- Isao Okumura
- Kumi Ryū
- Motomi Makiguchi
The manga revolves around Kansai-area high school boys Seto and Utsumi, particularly their completely normal but comedic chats after school.
