According to two sources from hadoken.net, a new Samurai Shodown may be in the works. The SNK fighting game franchise debuted in 1993 for Neo Geo. It received eight sequels, the last of which was released back in 2008 and was not met with positive fan reception. Hadoken’s sources claim that it’s in development by SNK-Playmore and is aiming for a 2017 release.
In addition, a plan for a new anime adaptation of the game is also rumored to release when the game drops. Whatever the case my be, we will be keeping an eye on this.
